PPTN (Professional Provider Telecommunications Network) is an online system that was designed as part of the Multi-Carrier System (MCS) to give Medicare providers access to information of beneficiaries and claims. PPTN will allow you to do the following:

• Claim status inquiry
• Provider eligibility
• Bank check status
• Diagnosis lookup
• Procedure lookup
• Provider summary
• Medicare physician fee schedule database
• *** Not available in all states ***

Electronic claim file transactions for 835/837, 276/277, and 997 files can be performed using FTP/SFTP. The RAPID Network also supports the use of scripts and batch services for automation and integration into some billing systems.
